I'm Jack Beal and I'm From Portsmouth England. My Home Airfield is EGHF Solent Airport Daedelus. I've Always had A love For Aviation but Since 2020-2021 I have grown a Massive Passion for it. A massive Part of this Growth was due to One of My Teachers also Having a Passion for Aviation. Before I never had anyone to talk about Aviation to So I never Really was able to share my Passion for it. Then in July 2021 I was Lucky Enough to get Work Experience with Phoenix Aviation. Based in The Control Tower at EGHF, This was My First time getting to come Up close to planes for Real. I had Over 1,000 hrs in Microsoft Flight Simulator So this was a Dream Come True! Having Been to Cafe @ 05 Many Many Times and Seeing Loads of Posts and Videos from other Pilots of EGHF it was Surreal to be the Other Side of the Fence. Sitting In a Pa28-161 was amazing, being able to Feel the Controls for Real. Then 2 days Later I had My first Flight in an Ikarus C42 G-OKTA. All I can say is Im Hooked ! I was told Before hand that Flying in Real Life is Completly Different to the Sim and I would Need to forget All of it. Well whilst We were up I was Given Controls and told to Hold 2,000ft. Having Held that for a few Miles I then was told to turn Towards Fawley. Then Downwind on 05, Base and then Gave back controls for Landing. Once Past Holding A1 I taxi'd back to where G-OKTA is kept. Best Experience of my life. Then A week Later I took Control of G-BOJW. A Pa28-161 Warrior 2. Much Heavier than a C42 ! Amazing Experience again and cant wait to fly again one day !
